James Clarke began his legal career with Hennessy and Roach as a partner in 2005 after 15 years as a trial lawyer with house counsel for Farmers' Insurance. James successfully tried over 25 cases to a jury verdict, over 45 bench trials and over 240 arbitrations and mediations. James is a member of the Chicago Bar Association and participated in numerous seminars focused on premises liability issues in Illinois. Most recently, James defended insureds as primary counsel under an OCIP program purchased by the City of Chicago for the O'Hare Modernization Program ("OMP"). The OMP was one of the largest construction projects undertaken by a municipality in the United States.
