Personal Note

Lucy has been defending workers' compensation claims on behalf of employers and insurers for over 30 years. After beginning her career in Texas, she returned home to St. Louis where she practiced law with her father, Frank J. Lahey. Lucy has represented employers, insurers, self-insureds, third-party administrators, and small, uninsured businesses in all aspects of workers' compensation cases from initial claim investigation and discovery through mediations and hearings, and if necessary, appeals to the Labor and Industrial Relations Commission and Missouri Court of Appeals. Prior to joining Hennessy & Roach, she practiced at other workers' compensation insurance defense firms. She is particularly skilled in trial advocacy and taking depositions. Lucy graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science from Texas Christian University and earned her Juris Doctor from Southern Methodist University School of Law, where she was a student instructor for moot court for first year students. She is a member of the Missouri Bar, the Texas Bar, the American Bar Association, and the Workers' Compensation Committe of the Missouri Bar. Lucy served as the legal advisor to the St. Louis Beatles Fan Club, a non-profit organization. In her spare time, Lucy enjoys hiking and participating in local book clubs and writing workshops. She is an avid sports fan and has collected thousands of baseball cards with a concentration of St. Louis Cardinals players from 1960 to the present.
