Pete Westhoff is a native of St. Louis having earned his undergraduate degree in Business Administration from the University of Missouri - St. Louis and his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Missouri - Kansas City. Pete is an experienced trial attorney with over 20 years of courtroom experience in Missouri and Illinois. Pete is a defense lawyer with a unique background in plaintiff's personal injury law. Early in his career, Pete represented plaintiffs trying cases to juries and winning substantial verdicts and settlements. Pete developed insight into the strategies used by plaintiff's attorneys as well as the weaknesses of plaintiff's cases. Pete uses those insights to the benefit of his defense clients winning defense verdicts at jury trials, bench trials, and arbitrations and obtaining favorable results during mediations and settlement negotiations throughout Missouri and Illinois. Pete is licensed in state and federal courts throughout Missouri and Illinois. Pete has practiced before the Missouri Appellate Courts as well as the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals. Pete has taken and defended hundreds of depositions, cross-examined hundreds of witnesses and experts and handled all phases of litigation on hundreds of cases. Pete is the co-chair of H&R's Construction Practice Group. Pete resides in the City of St. Louis with his wife, two kids and dog, Pepper.
